Terms of use

Applies to: the public-draft website at fdebenchmark.org (formerly benchmark.lockedinlabs.ai, which now redirects there), the synthetic assessment preview at assessment-preview.lockedinlabs.ai, and the published source repository
Effective: September 2, 2026
Status: v0.1 Public Draft

1. What you are looking at

The LockedIn FDE Benchmark v0.1 is an unreleased public draft of a proposed benchmark framework for Forward Deployed Engineering. It is published for technical, measurement, and governance review. Using the sites or the repository means accepting these terms.

2. Nothing here is an official result

The draft issues no scores, profiles, tiers, credentials, certifications, rankings, or hiring recommendations. Every person, artifact, deployment, observation, and result shown anywhere in the draft is synthetic. Any number, band, or label you see is a demonstration of a proposed interface or a synthetic calculation, not a measurement of a real person.

You may not represent any output of the draft, or of a copy or fork of it, as an official, validated, certified, or LockedIn-issued result about any person or organization.

3. Not for employment decisions

The draft must not be used to reject, hire, terminate, promote, compensate, discipline, rank, or staff any person, and must not be presented as a validated predictor of job performance. The benchmark card and specification set out the intended and prohibited uses in full.

4. Licenses

Reference software, machine schemas, synthetic fixtures, scripts, and the public site source are licensed under the Apache License 2.0 (LICENSE). Specification, policy, ontology, and research content is licensed under CC BY 4.0 (LICENSE-CONTENT.md), with attribution terms in NOTICE. Names, logos, badges, and release marks are not licensed by either grant and are governed by the trademark policy.

5. Acceptable use

Do not submit private code, personal data, customer information, identity documents, credentials, or purported hidden evaluation material through any public channel. Do not probe, load-test, or attempt to bypass the security controls of the sites; the process for reporting a suspected vulnerability is in SECURITY.md.

6. No warranty

The draft, the sites, and the repository are provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, LockedIn Labs is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on the draft. Where the Apache License 2.0 or CC BY 4.0 applies, its disclaimer governs the licensed material.

7. Changes

These terms may change as the draft matures. The effective date above and the changelog record material changes. Continued use after a change means acceptance of the revised terms.

8. Governing framework

These terms are read together with the charter, governance policy, data governance policy, privacy notice, and live-versus-planned register. If they conflict, the register controls any claim about what is currently available.
